A little about me
I felt pulled to real estate in the early 2000s, but I didn’t make a move until 2008. 2008, you might remember, was what people called the worst time to get into real estate. You see, I had just graduated from college, but I had a degree in elementary education. Something in me said it’s now or never. In college, I worked for a finance company. Working there is the first time I realized I liked working with people. I like making people feel special. So in 2008, I decided I didn’t need the perk of having the summer off, and I would go for it. My dad is a builder, and with my mom, they buy and sell property, so this idea was not wholly new. I have always loved houses and turning them into homes. So in the downturned market, I started my career. It was a challenging year for a lot of people. Across the country, people were losing their homes. We live in a rural area, but it still hit people here. I knew I made the right decision even though my first year did not equal a teacher’s salary. I felt accomplished. I knew I was helping families. I can still remember one of my first clients and what looked like a mountain of defeat coming against her. I didn’t know it at the time, but it was not an “easy deal,” but you know what, I helped her, and she could sell. It was the perfect setup for me. I came into the real estate market in a time that was not easy and not the most profitable. I learned so much during my first few years. I built relationships. I built trust and learned how to provide service exceptionally well. I was fortunate to start when I had to do things differently. I had to get attention and attract buyers. I learned problems are solvable; sometimes, you have to come from a different angle. I knew the right agent could make all the difference. I learned that integrity is more than doing what you say you will do or being who you say you are. Integrity is also putting other people, other families, before your gain. Integrity is never making a decision solely based on money. This is true for the client as well. TODAY I HELP PEOPLE FIND FREEDOM IN MANY FORMS. I encourage, I help find a vision to move forward. I want to know what moves you. I want your house to be a home full of laughter and memories. I want you to have the financial freedom to enjoy what you have worked so hard to accomplish. To have time to spend making memories, you will cherish forever. I have learned a lot along the way, and homeownership is one of the best gifts I can give someone. The right agent to help you find the right home is priceless. Success for your family is succeeding in your relationships. Stress and even the lack of focus you deal with can be affected by the right agent finding you the right home.
